The new interactive version from www.countune.com is up and running!

For a few days, the countune-project has now presenting itself with a new livery. The images - designd by so far nearly 600 people - now finally string to a homogeneous strip, which can be controlled by using the common key symbols and entering numbers and names. The strip hovers in front of a daily changing nature background image. Additionally, we offer a new piano piece every week, which you can switch ON or OFF as you will.

The special feature of this new site is the fact that the sequence of images virtually emerges right in front of your eyes from a data base, which many of you have already helped filling. The appearance of the image sequences as well as its future development thus depends on your creative participation. And this participation - accessible under JOIN IN - comes up with improved functions: an image preview adaptable to image length, as well as a palette extended by 60 colors are now pooled on one page.
A minor drawback of this quite positive advancement is the fact that aged browsers will not be capable of displaying the website. The improvements could only be realized by deploying advanced browser technologies. The recent versions of e.g. Firefox, Google chrome or Safari will display the site quite well. Internet Explorer 8 will just about manage it; however, it will require IE version 9 to display the site in the same elegant manner that the above mentioned browsers provide. Opera also turnd out to have problems every once in a while. So, if it should not quite work so well on your PC, the problem is not with programming but with browsers that are either obsolete or not properly set.

I would now like to invite all of you to visit the new site and - I would really appreciate this - also create an image. Usually, we apply a "safty rule": one image per E-mail address. As you know: creating an image is free! It would be great if you make use of this feature.
