countune & Institute for visual thinking
Even if the outward information flow is still somewhat sparse this year, there is a lot going on at the former Institute and homestead of the "International Social Art Project" countune. However, a prosaic description of the progress would go too far at this point. Therefore, the actual state of "countune-affairs" is offered at a glance here.
With about 500 pictures and interested parties from all over the world, the number 18000 (corresponding to an illustrated book length of 180 meters) has been exceeded. I think that's great - and I'd like thank all participiants.
Following six month of "probation", countune has been a registered trade mark ever since 27. July 2010.
At the link http://www.facebook.com/countune countune has been present on that platform ever since June. All pictures cannot only be viewed there, but are also linked to their respective creators.
Also worthwhile is the link http://www.youtube.com/user/countune - not only for "coutune-reasons"; it additionally offers more extraordinary contents provided by myself and some musician friends.
The new countune-Website will soon be completed - finally. Once this has been achieved, you will be able to navigate the slide film; orders of countune pictures will directly be sent to a data base. A slight relief for myself - hopefully. Moreover, this website will also constitute a kind of event platform. However, more information on this point will be communicated later.
Friday, 22. October, 7.30 pm - I want to present another lecture about the countune project.
Saturday, 13. November, 8 pm - The pianist Mizuka Kano is our guest and will play a programm with works by Robert Schumann - spiced with music by Toro Takemitsu.
If you like to visit us for the lecture or/and the concert, please send an announcement at info@countune.com We look forward to seeing you.
So, if you now also wish to create a countune (this is what we by now tenderly call a countune-picture in short), here is the established address: www.countune.com Enjoy it.
Best wishes. Yours Gerd Jansen. 1. November 2011
